First of all: Welcome to Galaxy-News as a new columnist :-)
How many web games can you think of that have left you with that feeling?
Yes, even though it normally doesn't last that long and it might be on a different level, I definitely think I had this feeling. The games I played are mainly in German, but I remember playing a business sim called WSIM and before (in the very past) I played a space game called spacebattle. But it was also the community, which has a lot bigger influence on whether you like a game or not, compared to "normal" games.
Don't you think?

I agree. It has a huge amount to due with the communities, just like it does with games such as WoW, GWs, ToP, or Eve.

But I haven't encountered a really good community for a web gamed game yet where I get the feeling that I had game friends or even companions. This is one of my biggest issues and I have addressed it several times with other creators.

Sadly, I don't read(or speak) German so I can't play any of the German made games :(

Well I think concerning browser games the German market is actually ahead of the rest of the world. Especially because of the big players pushing the development forward.
