Have you ever actually tried playing this 'game'?
In all honesty, this is about the worst browser game I've ever played. eRepublik is very buggy. It is frequently offline for "maintenance". The game has no content other than click boxes. You hit "fight' to fight an opponent. No stragety, no effort. You click fight, they die, you get 2 XP. You want to work, you click work. you get another 2 xp. It is pretty elementary. There is no strategy. There is no victory.
There is a politics system but it is highly corrupt. People make multiple accounts so that they can vote for themselves. Now, if you're dumb enough to get caught, they may ban your avatar - unless of course you spend money buying ingame currency. eRepublik has been clear that is has 2 sets of rules, one for free players, another for paying players.
eRepublik is ruled by a couple dozen high level players. They win all the battles, they earn all of the rewards, they own all of the businesses, and they win all of the elections. New players don't stand a chance.
The only entertaining part of eRepublik is the media system. People are permitted to create 'newspapers'. They troll one another, argue, fight, sling epithets, gang up on each other, etc. People spend hours and hours on these articles only to see them degrade down to a spam/troll fest when people start commenting.
There are plenty of great browser games that much more entertaining. I am quite shocked that it even made the list!
